Topic: Teen Violence

Lauren, my granddaughter, the teen advocate in our family, and I will be organizing teen meetings in the fall. She will begin, at the start of the new school year, talking to other teens concerning teen violence. I will contact school officials and discuss with them our idea of having teen meetings after school.

This will be a joint effort for us and we hope we may be able to enlighten our community about this growing problem.

Susan, I just wanted to say I am proud of your site and the fact that you are talking on Teen Violence. It is a wonderful thing to have the involvment of Lauren in it. Thanks Sara. I am very proud of Lauren. She is a very caring young lady. She came to me and wanted to talk. She told me of the instances of domestic violence that she knew of personally at school between some of the teens and wanted to "do something" about it. I let her know that we could start a program, if the school allows, for teen violence.
